Gannets & Puffins are among the most beautiful creatures in existence. Their ability to survive in the harshest places on the planet attests to their strength. They constitute an important part of biodiversity, and the artworks are created to complement any home that values the diversity of nature.

Since the dawn of time, we humans have reached for the stars. My ‘Galaxies’ pieces are inspired by the vastness of the Universe and the endless nuances of the Milky Way. These works are an explosion of colors — all colliding and blending like new stars and dreams being born. From a distance, the expression appears unified, but up close, variations, nuances, and shadows emerge — ones you never imagined were there.

Although we grow up alongside our siblings, we are forever connected by our rings of time. These works are a tribute to those we call our siblings. We share scars, memories, and marks with them; they are there for us—in dark times and moments of hope. They are our witnesses from the beginning, and they are always with us in our hearts.

Few things on Mother Earth can match the breathtaking beauty of the butterfly. With a light elegance, it floats through a spring day in pursuit of the next place to sip life's nectar. However, it is not a flight without turbulence for this small, vulnerable insect. Each spring, fewer and fewer pupae hatch.

A butterfly's enchanting visit becomes increasingly rare. A magical, fleeting moment that always leaves us spellbound and dreaming fades away as we expand and the butterfly's natural habitat disappears. The artwork "Springtime in My Heart" consists of 25 unique butterflies. From colorful and vibrant to worn-out and colorless. The work symbolizes the stuffed butterfly, as we know it: behind glass, framed, and hanging on a white wall. Lifeless and devoid of the magic dust from when it was alive outside the glass. Thus, the artwork also symbolizes how our descendants may never experience a moment with spring in their hearts as this unique insect flutters by. A moment of fragile magic. A moment where a dream awakens. A moment worth preserving.

Just as the butterfly has left us for all eternity. The beauty of the world would be lost forever if we do not make an effort to preserve biodiversity from its demise.

Skitserne til De bærende er udgangspunktet for hele skulpturserien. Det er her, idéerne først tager form, og hvor jeg arbejder med figurernes proportioner, tyngde og balance, før de bliver omsat til tredimensionelle værker i bronze og aluminium.

Tegningerne er udført i grafitblyant på FSC-certificeret Bristol-papir, 200 g/m². I skitsearbejdet har jeg haft fokus på forholdet mellem krop og masse. Skitserne fungerer som en undersøgelse af, hvordan en form kan fremstå tung, samtidig med at den udtrykker balance og ro. Samtidig har skitserne været et redskab til at arbejde teknisk med størrelse, stabilitet og vægt, inden figurerne senere skulle støbes i metal.

Skitserne er derfor ikke blot forarbejder, men en central del af den kunstneriske proces. De giver et indblik i de overvejelser, der ligger bag hvert færdigt værk, og viser vejen fra idé til form – fra tanke til bronzeskulptur.

“The Weight-Bearers” is a series of sculptures created in bronze.

I grew up in a universe of women. Women who carried, who reached out, who held things together, who held on. Women who often placed the weight of the world on their shoulders without anyone noticing the burden. This series is my tribute to them.

The figures are heavy in form because the women I have known have carried heavy loads. Their bodies stand as a testament and a symbol of everything invisible they take upon themselves. Responsibility. Care. Expectation. Guilt. Love. They carried so much that, in the end, there was almost no room left for themselves.

The sculptures are intentionally created without heads. Not to make them faceless, but to reflect the quietness I sensed as a child around women who had so much to lift that their own needs were often pushed aside. It was not a choice, but something life required of them. The hands and feet are omitted to make room for the many stories women carry with them. Stories woven through generations, passed from hand to hand, reshaped and lived in new ways. None of them are the same. Each is unique. This is not my story. I cannot tell the story of women. But I can honour the traces the women in my life have left in me. In bronze, their bodies become heavy and strong. On the mahogany base they rest on a firm foundation – one I wish the world had always given them. Each figure is created with deep respect for the grace, strength and vulnerability that can exist within a single body. Within them lies struggle, exhaustion, beauty and the will to rise again.

This series is my way of showing respect and gratitude to the women who shaped me. Thank you for what you carried. And for all that you still carry, which no one should have to bear alone.

Life rarely unfolds exactly as we imagined. Some things go according to plan, while others find their own way. This was also the case in my work with the aluminium pieces for the sculpture series “The Bearers”, created as a companion to the bronze series in a lighter and more affordable material as part of my Support Local Art project.

I used the same models as for the bronze sculptures, but the aluminium reacted differently. It solidified faster, moved more freely, and the result was figures that did not turn out exactly as I had envisioned. Several people suggested that I should melt them down and start over. But as I looked at them, I saw something else. A possibility. A distinctive beauty found in the unexpected, in the unfinished, in everything that emerges when the material is allowed to speak.

Aluminium is lighter both in weight and expression, and for that reason these works are offered at a more accessible price. They stand on bases of walnut wood, which add warmth and depth to the raw metal.

As part of my SUPPORT LOCAL ART project, the aluminium sculptures are created to give more people the opportunity to become part of the process. When you invest in one of them, you support my work directly and make it possible for me to develop new projects, including those abroad, in the future.

Each aluminium sculpture exists only as a single unique piece (see the notes under each work) and is available for a limited period. They are a meeting between craftsmanship and chance, and for that reason entirely unique in their expression.

This collection features original works created with recycled materials and paper. Each piece reflects a thoughtful approach to sustainability, using elements such as reclaimed wood, reused paper, and environmentally conscious paints. The artworks invite reflection on our presence, our impact, and the beauty of creating something meaningful from what has already been.

Selected works are released as art prints. Although they are prints of original artworks, there has been no compromise on quality. The details are preserved and appear sharp. Most often, the art prints are both signed and numbered.

In collaboration with Hans Pilgaard, approximately once a year, a limited edition photographic work is released, to which Hans' poetry can be added. These works always take a long time to develop, as the mood in them must necessarily come on its own. It's a feeling that cannot be forced but only discovered when it's there.

Palenqueras, a group of women with a deeply rooted and meaningful history, today stand as a powerful symbol of women's freedom and strength. They are not only a representation of a historical legacy; they also embody pride in their origins and the resilience of women. These women are warm-hearted, loving, and often carry a big smile as they walk with their baskets.

The works presented here have all been created with great respect for the Faroese culture and nature. They aim to capture the country's magnificent expanses. A small and rugged place in the middle of the Atlantic's grandeur, offering both warmth, towering mountains, and deep fjords.

In Greenland, silence meets grandeur. Here, the magical mountains rise towards the sky, and the icebergs crack with thundering sounds, drifting like dream ships through the bays. Whales dance beneath the surface, and in the bright nights, the sun watches over the landscape like an eternal companion. This collection is a tribute to the Greenlandic light, the poetry of nature, and the moments that take your breath away.

These photographic works from Iceland are inspired by the four elements, brought together in a striking love letter to the island’s raw and untamed landscapes. The photographs blend the fiery midnight sun with melancholic darkness; the lava-scorched wilderness with the crisp, crackling air.

The puffin is deeply rooted in the North Atlantic culture and self-understanding. The puffin symbolizes the freedom of the endless, green landscapes and rugged cliffs. And it symbolizes the ocean's endless generosity, which year after year nourishes these beautiful birds and their young.

This collection celebrates some of the most stunning sports arenas in the world, where humans have created sporting events amidst nature’s wild and majestic landscapes. From fields close to roaring seas and lush coasts, to locations surrounded by icebergs and awe-inspiring nature – these arenas prove that sport can thrive in the most extreme and breathtaking conditions. They stand as a symbol of human will, courage, and ingenuity, showing that sport can be played no matter what nature throws their way.

The towers in these photographs are all unique architectural masterpieces. The words accompanying these works, which you can either choose to include or omit, are based on the classical cardinal virtues originating from ancient Greece.
